Aon Is Looking For An Associate; Investment Consulting

As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Investment Consulting practice within Aon Hewitt in Vancouver, BC. As an Associate, you will report directly to the Senior Consultant & Team Lead.

Your Impact As An Associate; Investment Consulting

Job Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of institutional investment managers and financial market performance;
  • Performance of qualitative and quantitative data analysis and production of performance monitoring reports;
  • Analysis of asset allocation and investment manager structures for institutional clients (e.g. pension plans);
  • Performance of investment manager searches and involvement in manager research;
  • Performance of research projects related to the financial markets;
  • Provision of support and assistance to other team members; and
  • Other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.

You Bring Knowledge and Expertise

Required Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year work experience in a similar office environment required;
  • General knowledge of the investment industry and of defined benefit and defined contribution pension plans;
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbally and written;
  • Client focused and proven relationship building skills;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
  • Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
  • Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
  • Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.

Preferred Experience

  • Previous work experience in a professional services environment would be an asset.


  • Undergraduate degree, preferably in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar field;
  • Enrollment in and/or willingness to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program is desirable;
  • Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development including courses and certifications.
